Hello Pastor Cooke,
I want to thank you first for being the man that you are, coming to see us, bringing us peace and taking the time to be in the same place with us.  That is true love, Brother. I just want to say that I love you for that and I know you love us back.  You are a man of God and behind a good man there must be a good woman. I have not seen or talked to her but please tell her that I love her for allowing you to come up here to see us.
Again thank you, Mr. & Mrs. Larry Cooke.

Brother Larry,
Thank you so much for the package you sent me.  I am very grateful.  Allow me to give you some good news.  I just turned 27 on January 17 and I have indeed been blessed by Jesus.  Our Lord has given me His peace and I have never felt anything like it.  What was truly amazing was that His peace was given to me at a time when I definitely needed it.  I’m also halfway done on my Bible Study courses which have also helped me learn more about God.  I am also taking some other Bible study courses that are extending the wisdom and my learning
Your Brother,

Rev. Cooke,
I wanted to drop you a couple of lines to tell you thank you for the card from the Sunday School class.  It is very uplifting to know that the children even though they don’t even know me still take the time to make them.  It shows me that God blesses me by people and children I don’t even know.  God has been working miracles and given me numerous blessings – one by helping me to restore my relationship with my family.  I am blessed to go home to them.  Rev. I thank you for still keeping up with me.
God Bless Y’all!

Dear Brother Cooke,
Hi! For the last couple of days I have been telling people about when I was in Harris County Jail and how Brother Cooke would come every Tuesday, starting every message with the words: “I’m excited about Jesus!” It’s funny because today I got a letter from that same Brother Cooke. Your letter was and will continue to be an encouragement to me.  Thank you! You and your family will be in my prayers, may God keep blessing!
Your brother in Christ,

Brother Cooke,
Your holiday letter arrived this past week and the card made by the children of your church will be, by far, the most inspirational and personal one I will get this year. Please let them know how much I appreciate their time and effort.  It DOES make a difference to those of us incarcerated!  The time we have spent together in worship and teaching, you have had a profound effect on my faith.  I will keep this fellowship close to my heart.  Please keep me in your prayers, on the mailing and know that when I am able I will again contribute what I can for your good for Christ and the salvation of our fellow man!

Dear Chaplain Cooke,
I pray that you and your family are doing extremely well and that your ministry is being blessed abundantly by God Almighty.  The Bible that I received through the Chaplains office at Harris County is still and always will be a part of my daily devotion.  Thank you!  I want to extend a special thanks to you, Brother Cooke, for re-introducing God to me through your services and teaching at Harris County Jail.  The fire you started in me there,  is growing more and more for the Lord for me to know Him and to tell others of Him..  Thank you and my God continue to Bless you and your ministry.
Your Brother in Christ,

Pastor Cooke,
I first want to thank you for the work that you do for God.  Every week the Lord puts the message in your heart to preach, that is right on time.  I don’t know about everyone else, but I know it is always on time for me.  I know the Lord has a reason for everything He allows us to go through.  Although we might not always understand why, I know if we keep our eyes on Him at the end of it, we will defiantly know why. The Lord has blessed me so much. I can’t begin to explain it all… all I can do is Praise Him!
God Bless,
Doug

Dearest Larry and Shelle Cooke,
I want to thank you graciously for your kind words and the Christmas card from you and the children from your church. Wow!  That really made my day and it honestly made me have a better outlook on things while having to go through the holidays in such a negative place.  The Lord has been working so steady in my life I could not be more blessed.  I am now studying the word  regular and daily.  I am a young flower in full bloom and trying to gain more.  I thank you for what you have done.  Larry you’ve been with me since the beginning and it’s working on almost 2 ½ years. Rev. Cooke, thank you. You have shown me that I do not have to settle for second best and you have made me want to be a better person.
I hope you have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Sincerely,
Jason
