•Larry was born in Louisville, Kentucky, raised in Madison, Florida, and he felt he really started living when he moved to Houston, Texas in 1976.

• Larry was born-again at the age of 26. He made Jesus the Lord of his life and was filled with the Holy Spirit. God taught Larry how to read by reading his Bible. The Bible was the first book Larry ever completed.

•Larry and Shelle have been married for 28 years. Shelle has been an inspiration and support to Larry personally and to the ministry.

•After moving to Texas and learning the cultured marble business, Larry started Cooke Marble Company, Inc. in Katy, Texas in 1978.

•When the economy stalled in the mid-1980’s Larry started a painting company and painted houses, to supplement his family’s income for the next 17 years. He was very busy during this time. When he was not working or helping to raise his family, he was ministering in the afternoons, evenings and weekends.

•Larry and his wife, Shelle, also made spin art t-shirts for craft shows and had a resale shop at their home.

•The Cooke’s took a step of faith and went into full-time ministry in 2005 by the leading of the Holy Spirit.

•Many people have stepped up to support In the Word Ministries over the last 5 years.

•Larry’s business is Ministry.

•Larry’s hobby is Winning Souls.

•Larry’s favorite place for relaxation is a place on the beach to watch the ocean and take a walk. He finds rejuvenation and restoration for his soul.

•Spending special time with children and grandchildren are some of his favorite things to do.

•Larry’s desires are eternal, his joy is from the Lord and his greatest hope is to spend eternity with YOU!
